When I think of children running barefoot, I think of them being playful, active, free of worries and burden. I envision them enjoying just being kids! Too many of our children and youth experience life events that weigh them down, emotionally, socially and physically. Without support and appropriate help to work safely through the consequences of those events, many aspects of their lives and their development are effected in negative ways. My aim, through Running Barefoot Counselling, is to help children, youth and their families work through those experiences that have burdened them, and get them to a point where they can, once again, feel free and able to run without shoes.
